Adelaide Doula Support
For Birth In Any Trimester, For Any Outcome
As human beings we are forever changed by the death of someone in our lives. If you have just found out that your baby has died or will die shortly after birth, I am so very sorry for whatever situation brings you here. As a bereavement doula, I am here to walk alongside you and offer you continuous physical and emotional support before, during and after your birth. I can help you find resources to answer your questions, build your support network, be with you as you say hello to your child, assist you during the precious moments of creating memories with your baby and hold the space for you as you navigate saying goodbye to your baby.
There is no charge for my bereavement doula services. Instead I ask that you consider making a love offering of whatever you can afford and pay forward my services to the next family that I may serve. As a guide, my birth doula service is currently $500 - $1000. This is done in memory of my baby born at 14 weeks gestation. If you choose to make a donation, I will gratefully share that it is given “in memory” or “in honor” of your loved one at your request. Offerings are gracefully accepted but not required.
I am a trained Birth and Bereavement Doula through StillBirthday. -SBD doulas can fill in the space between learning of a difficult diagnosis and the birth of the baby, supplementing hospital support. -SBD doulas can provide labor support prior to and during a miscarriage. -SBD doulas can attend births at any gestational age. -SBD doulas can provide postpartum support for mothers who’ve experienced pregnancy or infant loss. -SBD doulas can provide services and support for subsequent pregnancies and births.
I have also completed training with Amy Wright Glenn, author of the book Birth, Breath & Deathin Holding the Space for Pregnancy Loss. "Amy Wright Glenn has written a remarkable book that I found very touching, reading it as I did when I was caring for my husband during the last weeks of his life. Because she's such a brave soul, I very much enjoyed her company as I journeyed deeper into that territory that had to be traveled." ~ Ina May Gaskin,
