NDIS Perinatal Support in Adelaide
Elemental Beginnings provides personalised NDIS perinatal support in Adelaide and surrounding areas for people who are pregnant, preparing for birth or adjusting to life with a new baby.
Who I support
I work alongside people who are pregnant, birthing or in the postnatal period and who have an NDIS plan, including:
Whether a particular service can be funded through your plan depends on your individual goals, circumstances and the specific supports listed in your plan. I'm not able to make that determination for you, but I'm happy to have a conversation about what I offer so you can check it against your plan, or discuss it with your plan manager or support coordinator.
What I offer
Every family's goals and needs are different, so support is shaped around you. Broadly, this can include:
Pregnancy support: Practical and emotional support as you prepare for birth, including help understanding your options, preparing your home and getting ready for the changes ahead.
Birth preparation: Working through what matters to you for labour and birth, including communication needs, sensory considerations, and how you'd like to be supported on the day.
Postnatal support: Hands-on, in-home support during the early weeks and months, at a pace that suits you and your recovery.
Newborn care: Support with feeding, settling, sleep routines and everyday newborn care, with a focus on helping you develop your own skills and confidence.
Attending appointments: Support to attend midwife, GP, specialist or allied health appointments, including help preparing questions and understanding information shared with you.
Community access: Support to get out and about with your baby, whether that's a mothers group, an appointment, or simply building confidence to leave the house on your own terms.
Practical parenting support: Help with the everyday logistics of a new baby, from routines to equipment to simply having another set of hands.
Building confidence and capacity: Support throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period can be tailored to help you develop practical skills, confidence and strategies that support your individual goals and independence.
How sessions work
Sessions are flexible and built around your goals, your plan, and what works for your family. Before we begin, we'll have a conversation about what you'd like support with, how you communicate best, and any adjustments that will help sessions work well for you. Session length and frequency vary depending on your needs and your plan.

I provide support across Adelaide and the surrounding metropolitan area. If you're just outside this area, get in touch, and I'll let you know if I'm able to help.
Travel within 20km of my home is included in my hourly rate.

- Home visits, so you don't need to travel if that's difficult for you
- Flexible session length and pacing, including built-in breaks
- Plain language communication, and written summaries after sessions, if that's helpful
- Advance notice of what a session will involve, including visual or written schedules if useful
- A quiet, low sensory environment where possible
- Welcoming a support person, interpreter, or Auslan interpreter to sessions
- Adjusting communication style to suit how you communicate, including AAC or alternative communication methods

Who this service isn't suitable for
I want to be upfront about this, so you can make an informed choice:
- If your plan requires you to use a registered provider, I'm not able to offer this support to you directly at this time.
