Placenta Encapsulation for a First Time Mum

Back in July I was hired to encapsulate a placenta for a first time Adelaide mum.  Placenta encapsulation was something she had been researching for a while and had decided the benefits were for her.  There is more information on the benefits of placenta encapsulation on my webpage if you're doing your own research.

We stayed in contact for the remainder of her pregnancy so I could answer any questions she had about my placenta encapsulation process and then I finally got the call from her partner to say baby and placenta were earthside.  Partners always sound a bit nervous for some reason when letting me know there is a placenta to pick up, but I love to hear the news!

I headed off to the Women's and Children's Hospital with my cooler bag and found her room.  I got to meet baby, mum, dad and grandma and share some of those precious moments that a newborn brings.  I brought the placenta back home, took photos for the parents so they could see this amazing organ that had helped grow their new son and encapsulated it.  The capsules were delivered back to mum the next day, ready to help her before that big hormone drop you can experience 3-5 days after birth. No one would have known I was carrying a placenta, I just look like another visitor to the ward bearing gifts =)

How is this first time mum doing now?  Well, this is from the email she sent me recently: 
        "Thank you very much for encapsulating my placenta. It was fantastic to have you collect it and bring it back to me - it was so great not to have to worry about it.  The finished product was just so fantastic.  I have been doing very well taking the placenta capsules and I haven't really had any sad or low times. The majority of the time I have been feeling excellent so I think the capsules have been helping!"
